Submission

IEEE LANMAN 2013 solicits paper submissions of Long Papers (up to 6 pages) and Short Papers (up to 2 pages). The short papers will be presented in a poster session. Also, some of Long Paper submissions may be accepted as Short Papers by the TPC. The page limits include all figures, tables, and references. All papers must be electronically submitted in PDF according to the guidelines in the workshop website http://www.ieee-lanman.org. The proceedings will be published by IEEE Xplore and will include both Short and Long Papers presented at the workshop. Best Paper Award will be given to the paper(s) with the highest technical merit.

All IEEE LANMAN 2013 technical papers and posters must be associated with an author registration at the full rate. For authors presenting multiple papers/posters, one full registration is valid for up to three papers/posters. IEEE reserves the right to exclude a paper/poster from distribution after the workshop (e.g., removal from IEEE Xplore) if the paper/poster is not presented at the workshop. Submissions must be formatted using the IEEE templates available here.

Please submit your paper here.

Camera Ready Submission

Camera-ready Submission Deadline:
March 3, 2013, 11:59pm Pacific Daylight Time

Camera-ready Submission Guidelines:

  1. Register for the workshop and obtain the registration code. (Authors should provide the Paper ID of the paper(s) along with the registration form.)
  2. Prepare IEEE Xplore compatible PDF (using PDF eXpress or otherwise)
  3. Upload camera-ready PDF
  4. Upload signed and scanned copyright PDF form

Creating IEEE Xplore-Compatible PDF:

  • Please use IEEE PDF eXpress to create your final camera ready version.
  • Conference ID is Lanman13wkx
  • Note that, IEEE PDF eXpress is only used to create your final camera ready version. Please submit your final camera ready version here according to the following submission guidelines.

IEEE PDF eXpress Guidelines:

  1. Access the IEEE PDF eXpress site at http://www.pdf-express.org using Conference ID Lanman13wkx.
  2. For each conference paper, click "Create New Title".
  3. Enter identifying text for the paper (title is recommended but not required)
  4. Click "Submit PDF for Checking" or "Submit Source Files for Conversion"
  5. Indicate platform, source file type (if applicable), click Browse and navigate to file, and click "Upload File". You will receive online and email confirmation of successful upload.
  6. You will receive an email with your Checked PDF or IEEE PDF eXpress-converted PDF attached. If you submitted a PDF for Checking, the email will show if your file passed or failed.

Formatting Guidelines:

  • Final Camera Ready Papers must be in English.
  • Long papers must be no longer than six (6) pages (no cover page) in double-column format with standard margins and at least a 10 point font (IEEE templates). This length includes everything: figures, tables, references, appendices and so forth.
  • Short Papers must be no longer than two (2) pages (no cover page) in double-column format with standard margins and at least a 10 point font (IEEE templates). This length includes everything: figures, tables, references, appendices and so forth.
  • For short papers only, an additional page may be included for a total of 3 pages, PROVIDED you have paid the extra-page fee during the registration.
  • The list of authors for camera-ready paper must be the same as the list of authors for the review version.
  • Provide an abstract of fewer than 150 words.
  • Do not number the pages.
  • Author Bios are not needed.
  • We must be able to display and print your submission exactly as we receive it and using only standard tools and postscript printers, so we strongly suggest that you use only standard fonts.
  • Make sure that the paper prints well on black-and-white printers, not color printers. This is especially true for plots and graphs in the paper.
  • Make sure that the output has been formatted for printing on LETTER (8.5" by 11") size paper.
  • You may use IEEE Transactions Templates.

  • At least one author must register and pay the full (non-student) conference fee by March 3, 2013 at the registration site.
  • To be published in the IEEE LANMAN Workshop Proceedings and IEEE Xplore®, an author of an accepted paper is required to register for the conference at the full (member or non-member) rate and must present the paper at the conference.
  • Student authors should register at the FULL (member or non-member) rate (and not the Student or Student Plus rate), if no other co-author has registered at the FULL rate.
  • Non-refundable registration fees must be paid prior to uploading the final IEEE formatted, publication-ready version of the paper.
  • For authors with multiple accepted papers, one full registration is valid for up to 3 papers.
